Entry/Exit Requirements
"A passport and visa are required. The Lao Ministry of Foreign
Affairs states that visas can be issued upon arrival in Laos to
U.S. citizen tourists with two passport-size photographs and $35
at the following ports of entry: Wattay Airport, Vientiane; Friendship
Bridge, Vientiane, Pakse and Luang Prabang Airports; Boten-Bohan
and Vangtao-Chong Mek. Persons who obtain entry visas prior to their
arrival in Laos may also enter at the following international entry
points: Huaixay, Khammouane-Nakhonphanom, Savannakhet-Mukdahan,
Daensayanh-Laobao, Namphao-Kaopae, and Namkan." - US State

Visa Requirements
1.1
Current Passport
Applicant must submit their current passport.
NOTE: Passport must have at least
one blank visa page. If you require passport services, select:
Applicant must submit two (2) identical passport
photographs. These may be obtained at many post offices, Kinkos,
CVS or similar locations.
NOTE: If applicant is delivering
documents to our office personally, passport photos can be
taken on-site.
1.3
Flight Itinerary
Applicant must submit a computer-generated
itinerary from a travel agency or online booking agency showing
departure from the U.S.
1.4
Invitation (Business applicants only)
Applicant must obtain approval from the Department
of Immigration of the Government of Laos in Vietiane via the
host company, which sends the Approval Letter to the Embassy
of Laos in Washington.
Applicant should submit a copy of the Approval Letter with
visa application.
1.5
Business
Cover Letter (Business applicants
only)
Applicant must submit a Business Cover Letter
from a U.S. company indicating purpose of travel, duration
and moral and financial responsibilities. Please review the
example Business Cover Letter below.
