Requirements and Instructions for The Gambia Visas
Entry/Exit Requirements
"A passport, visa, and evidence of yellow fever vaccination
are required. The U.S. Embassy strongly recommends obtaining a Gambian
visa in advance of arrival.
Travelers who do not obtain the necessary visa before arrival in
The Gambia will have their passports stamped at the port of entry
with a 24-, 48-, or 72- hour pass and are required to report to
Banjul Immigration Department to regularize their stay. Banjul Immigration
may grant permission to remain for one month the application cost
of which is about $16. Extensions require additional visits to the
Gambian Immigration Department and additional fees.
A $10.00 (U.S. dollars) tourist levy is charged upon arrival at
the airport. Payment is only accepted in U.S. dollars, British pounds,
or Euros. NOTE: Most charter flights should have this fee included
in the price of the ticket." - US State Dept

Visa Requirements

Current Passport
Applicant must submit their current passport.
NOTE: Passport must have at least
one blank visa page. If you require passport services, select:
Applicant must submit two (2) passport photographs.
These may be obtained at many post offices, Kinkos, CVS or
similar locations.
NOTE: If applicant is delivering
documents to our office personally, passport photos can be
taken on-site.

Flight Itinerary
Applicant must submit a computer-generated
itinerary from a travel agency or online booking agency showing
departure from the U.S.
1.4
Business
Cover Letter (Business applicants
only)
Applicant must submit a Business Cover Letter
from a U.S. company indicating purpose of travel, duration
and moral and financial responsibilities. Please review the
example Business Cover Letter below.
