Entry/Exit Requirements
"A passport, visa and evidence of yellow fever vaccination
are required for entry. Some travelers arriving in the DRC without
proper proof of yellow fever vaccination have been temporarily detained,
had their passports confiscated, or been required to pay a fine.
Visas must be obtained from an embassy of the DRC prior to arrival.
Travelers to the DRC frequently experience difficulties at the
airport and other ports of entry, such as temporary detention, passport
confiscation and demands by immigration and security personnel for
unofficial “special fees.” All resident foreigners,
including Americans, are required to register at the office of the
Direction General de Migration (DGM) in the commune of their place

Visa Requirements
1.1
Current Passport
Applicant must submit their current passport.
NOTE: Passport must have at least
one blank visa page. If you require passport services, select:
Applicant must submit three (3) identical passport
photographs. These may be obtained at many post offices, Kinkos,
CVS or similar locations.
NOTE: If applicant is delivering
documents to our office personally, passport photos can be
taken on-site.

Flight Itinerary
Applicant must submit a computer-generated
itinerary from a travel agency or online booking agency showing
departure from the U.S.
1.4
Invitation
All applicants must submit a notarized letter
of invitation from a host, business associate or friend in
the Democratic Republic of Congo.
1.5
Health Requirement
Applicant must submit an International Certificate
of Vaccination for Yellow Fever (except for minors age under
1 year).
1.6
Business
Cover Letter (Business applicants
only)
Applicant must submit a Business Cover Letter
from a U.S. company indicating purpose of travel, duration
and moral and financial responsibilities. Please review the
example Business Cover Letter below.
